"As I move forward in my medical career, I carry with me the lessons of resilience and compassion gathered from the numerous patients I have taken care of as a medical assistant and student. My goal for the next phase of my medical training is to become a trusted ally in my patients' healthcare by creating a safe and nurturing environment where every patient feels empowered, heard, and reassured regardless of their circumstances."

Dr. Adelaide Schultz became interested in OB/GYN during an endocrinology elective as an undergraduate student at LSU in Baton Rouge. As a volunteer on the Labor & Delivery service here at Woman's Hospital in college, she further stregnthened her decision to pursue women's health as a career and landed as a medical assistant in OB/GYN. She fell in love with Woman's Hospital all over again during her Acting Internship as fourth medical student. Shortly after, she matched into our program here in Baton Rouge where her husband is an LSU Emergency Medicine resident.

When she needs a break, cooking and baking are her go-to activities. She recently learned how to crochet. As someone who danced from childhood until graduating from high school, Pure Barre is a place where she feels at home.
