How to Apply

We use a holistic review process for screening applications and incorporate signaling into that process. In line with LSU's committment to serving the people of Louisiana, applicants from Louisiana and/or who have completed their education in the state of Louisiana will take priority during the early stages of the screening process. We welcome applications from allopathic, osteopathic and foriegn medical schools.

Communication Preferences
The intended purpose of these statements from ACOG-CREOG is to help programs and applicants enhance transparency during the interview season, reducing pre and post interview communication. Our preferences are indicated in the statements below:
- We request that applicants provide any updates to their application simply by updating ResidenyCAS directly rather than contacting the program
- After interview offers have been made, faculty and medical school officials should not contact our program to solicit additional interviews or offer additional information about applicants as this information will not be accepted or reviewed
- We prefer that applicants not send thank you notes and emails, but we will accept Letters of Intent from applicants
- Second looks will not be offered to ensure equity in the interview process
- We will only be communicating with applicants to answer questions about the program, and will not respond to other communication from applicants
- Scheduling/rescheduling/cancelling will be done strictly through ResidencyCAS
- Interview dates will lock 7 business days prior to each interview date, requiring applicants to contact the Program Manager directly to cancel. Rescheduling is not guaranteed
