She is also a certified online ESL teacher. As a result of research experience in both undergraduate studies and in medical school, Dr. Sumner is an author on several peer-reviewed publications. As a Critical Language Program Scholar through the US Department of State, she offered intensive language and cultural instruction in languages deemed essential for national security and global engagement.
Reading, travel and photography are among some of her favorite things to do. An interesting fact about Dr. Sumner is that she is a certified scuba diving instructor. She hopes to one day conquer the Great Barrier Reef.
