Undergraduate: William Carey College

Hometown: Waynesboro, MS

"I want to be able to sit with my patients, listen to them, and educate them about their choices and their bodies. I want to be the kind of physician who not only provides medical care but also compassion, understanding, and unwavering support for each and every patient."

Dr. Mia McFadden is a Mississippi girl that grew up on the countryside, spending alot of time near ponds and lakes fishing with her father and sister. After attending Jones County Junior College, she finished her undergraduate studies at William Carey College in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. As a recipient of the coveted Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholarship, she completed medical school in Jackson at University Medical Center. She began singing as a child which led her to church choirs, show choir in high school and a musical ensemble while in medical school. With work experience as a medical scribe and a substitute teacher, Dr McFadden is a very well-rounded physician. Her background in leadership and mentorship have prepared her for playing such an important role in the lives of her patients.

The heart of giving and charity have been with her since a very young age. She has known that she wanted to be a doctor since the age of 7.
