The Spirit of Charity Trauma Center (https://www.nolaem.com/trauma, located in University Medical Center New Orleans, formerly known as Charity Hospital) is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the metro New Orleans area and also serves as the tertiary trauma referral hospital for south Louisiana and portions of the Gulf Coast.
Interventional Radiologists play a critical role in the treatment of critically ill patients from initial management of pelvic, spleen, liver, and kidney hemorrhage to treatments of late complications arising from injuries.
