Interventional Radiology Residency Program

Tiger Course Emblem

Welcome to the LSU Tiger Course!

The Tiger Course is designed for Interventional Radiology technologists, nurses, physician assistants and residents,  who wish to develop their talents to provide comprehensive and cutting edge team-based patient care.  This single-day event features instruction from physicians and industry partners to provide both didactic and hands-on training.  Continuing Education credits for technologists will be provided.

Who is eligible to attend?

The Tiger Course is designed specifically for nurses, technologists, physician assistants and residents who work in Interventional Radiology with experience ranging from none to advanced.

Why choose the Tiger Course?

Interventional Radiology is a technology-based field under continuous development.  Advancements in care are not limited to physicians, rather, the whole team should function as a progressive unit.  Updates to equipment, techniques, new procedures, and team care will be discussed to give the attendee more complete and confident performance when it matters most.

What should I expect when attending the Tiger Course?

Social distancing and masks will be used throughout the course.  The day will begin with a light breakfast where attendees will have the opportunity to meet peers and discuss local practices.  Didactic lectures will provide structured learning from experts in their field on a range of topics including procedures, equipment, and ergonomics in the procedure room.  Lunch will be served while attendees discuss the application of topics covered followed by a hands-on training workshop with industry partners to learn more about IR equipment.

When and where is the course?

The 3rd Annual Course will be held on November 11, 2023. Exact Time TBD .
