Bio

Ryan Richard is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC). He received a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University, and an M.D. from LSUHSC in New Orleans.  Dr. Richard completed his Internal Medicine residency at LSUHSC in Baton Rouge, and also served a year as Chief Resident.  He completed a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at the University of Virginia Medical Center.  Dr. Richard’s clinical and teaching responsibilities include supervising LSU Pulmonary and Critical Care services at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Baton Rouge General Hospital, serving as an instructor to residents and medical students in the Simulation Laboratory, serving as a faculty advisor and participating in the resident didactics series.  His interests focus on critical care, simulation training, curriculum development, and medical education.
