JOHN GODKE, MD, FCCP

Bio

John Godke is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC).  He received a B.S. from Louisiana State University, and an M.D. from LSUHSC in New Orleans.  Dr. Godke completed his Internal Medicine residency at LSUHSC in Baton Rouge, and also served a year as Chief Resident.  He completed a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at LSUHSC in New Orleans.  Dr. Godke’s clinical responsibilities include supervising LSU Pulmonary & Critical Care services at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Baton Rouge General Hospital.  His interests focus on critical care, MRSA infections, and medical education.  He is a course director of the fourth year medcial student elective, "Concept Maps and Medical Education."  Dr. Godke has received several teaching awards as a resident, fellow, and a faculty member, and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
