Bio

Will Benton is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC).  He received his B.S. in political science from Millsaps College and his M.D. from LSUHSC in New Orleans.  He completed his residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, then served as a chief resident there.  His academic responsibilities include resident and medical student education as an attending on inpatient wards services and an outpatient primary care clinic with students.  He also serves as the clerkship director for the neurology course for the local branch campus of the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans.  In addition, he has a primary care clinic at a local multi-specialty group practice, The Baton Rouge Clinic.  His professional interests include preventive medicine and undergraduate medical education.
