Emily Johnston is a critical care clinical pharmacist at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center (OLOLRMC) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received her undergraduate training at Louisiana State University and further went on to graduate summa cum laude from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2017. She completed her General Pharmacy Residency training at OLOLRMC followed by an additional Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina. She is currently the Residency Program Director of OLOLRMC’s Critical Care residency program and serves as a residency preceptor. She also serves as adjunct faculty for Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Johnston is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Louisiana Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. In 2022, Dr. Johnston was awarded the Louisiana Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ 2022 Pharmacist of the Year.
