HOLIDAYS
Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center recognizes the following 6 holidays: Independece Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Good Friday. Residents are subject to work these holidays depending on their rotation site and the program schedule as a whole to ensure fairness over the course of residency. During the month of December, the final 2 weeks initiates a special holiday coverage schedule where residents are assigned to work one week to cover psychiatry services at Our Lady of the Lake and Baton Rouge General, and then are off the other week. This is designed to promote wellness amongst residents while also staying committed to education and to patients.
