LSU Rural Family Medicine Residency Program
Our Lady of the Angels Hospital
As an unopposed program since 2007, our broad training paradigm is dedicated to preparing family physicians to support the healthcare needs of vulnerable populations, in specifically rural contexts. We are located ninety minutes north of New Orleans in the community of Bogalusa, Louisiana, population 13,000.
Our Rural Program is clinically aligned with Our Lady of the Angels Hospital.
The LSU Rural Family Medicine Program is an LSUHSC New Orleans sponsored program with 21 resident positions and is fully accredited by the ACGME.
