Didactic Curriculum

 

General Neurology - lectures are presented by residents, faculty research faculty or guest speakers. These lectures encompass a variety of neurology topics and are held weekly.

Fellows Lecture - lectures are presented by the Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology fellows as well as faculty members of both fellowships.

Journal Club - Occurs monthly at off-campus sites where residents review and discuss important articles in neurology.  Department and occasionally visiting faculty serve as moderators.

Professor Rounds - cases presented by PGY2-4 residents on a weekly basis. Most residents present four lectures per academic year.

Simulation Lab - sessions occur quarterly and include toxin injections, lumbar puncture, deep brain stimulation, and brain death.

Wellness - lectures and activities are held on a quarterly basis. Past lectures and activities include sleep deprivation, professionalism, rock painting, compassion fatigue and mindfulness. Lectures and activities are intended to improve overall resident, fellow and faculty well-being.
