West Jefferson Medical Center, a community 435-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Marrero, Louisiana, resides on a more than 20-acre sprawling campus just minutes from downtown New Orleans. Situated near vast industrial and maritime corridors, WJMC serves area industry as well as the citizens of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemine and St. Charles Parishes and beyond. The West Bank, located south of the Mississippi River, contains the unincorporated areas of Marrero, Harvey, Terrytown, Crown point, Lafitte and Waggaman, while Gretna, Westwego and Jean Lafitte are incorporated.
