Our mission can be viewed through two different lenses.

The more immediate is to train compassionate, empathetic, and competent board-certified dermatologists who view their expertise on skin disease as a service and opportunity to bring excellence to their practices of dermatology with the highest standards of care and professionalism.

This leads to our second, more long-term goal, which is to optimize care and access to dermatologic care within our state, especially in regions with more limited dermatologic resources. We aim to address the needs of our communities and the needs in the field of dermatology as a whole by providing the absolute best education and example to our trainees and students as well as foster innovation in research and inquiry.
