University Medical Center New Orleans   

The University Medical Center New Orleans is an academic medical center managed by LCMC Health and is the primary teaching site for the LSU School of Medicine. It is the 1.1 million square foot replacement to Charity Hospital, which was closed following Hurricane Katrina. The LSU Department of Surgery provides 85% of the general surgery and general surgical specialty coverage at UMC. UMC is the Gulf South's only hospital with both an ACS-verified Level 1 trauma center and ABA-verified burn center. With academic partners, including Louisiana State University and Tulane University Schools of Medicine, UMCNO is dedicated to training the next generation of healthcare professionals and leading research to find tomorrow’s cures and treatments. 

The majority of the surgical services at UMCNO are provided by LSU Surgery. Surgery residents rotate through General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Bariatric Surgery, Breast Oncology, Colon and Rectal Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Trauma ICU as well as Burn ICU at UMC.

Southeastern Louisiana Veterans Administration Healthcare Center                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) provides quality, compassionate, and safe health care to Veteran patients throughout 23 parishes in southeast Louisiana. SLVHCS consists of eight community-based clinics including its location in the Bio-Medical District in New Orleans. Inpatient services are coordinated through community facilities, like Tulane Medical Center. As a model for health care of the future it sets the standards for patient-centered care, flexibility, and sustainability. The new 30 acre campus is the cornerstone for the emerging biosciences industry in New Orleans and serves nearly 70,000 veterans in the region.

LSU Surgery residents rotate through General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Surgical ICU services at the VA.

Children's Hospital New Orleans 

Children’s Hospital New Orleans is a 247-bed, not-for-profit pediatric medical center offering a complete range of healthcare services for children from birth to 21 years. As a 419-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Marrero, Louisiana, West Jefferson resides on a more than 20-acre sprawling campus just minutes from downtown New Orleans. Ochsner Medical Center Kenner

Ochsner Medical Center–Kenner is an acute care community hospital servicing the residents of Kenner and surrounding communities.
