Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center
Our Lady of the Lake is the largest hospital in Louisiana and is uniquely capable of caring for a full range of illness or injury, including those that are extremely complex, for both pediatric and adult patients. Their family of services includes:
- A 900-bed hospital and Baton Rouge's only Level 1 Trauma Center
- A Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and freestanding Children's Hospital
- A 450-provider care network covering more than 40 specialties
- Two free-standing emergency rooms—Our Lady of the Lake Livingston and Our Lady of the Lake North
- A network of nearly 15 urgent care clinics
- Outpatient imaging and surgery centers
OLOL is an integral part of the surgical education for LSU residents. LSU Surgery residents rotate through General Surgery, Robotic/Minimally Invasive Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Trauma Surgery and Pediatric Surgery at OLOL. A very unique experience is the "LSU Service," their own resident-led general surgery service which provides a very robust operative and clinic experience.

Baton Rouge General Medical Center
Baton Rouge General Hospital is a 201-bed private hospital with a very busy surgical volume.
LSU Surgery residents rotate through General Surgery, Surgical Oncology and Vascular Surgery at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.

Woman's Hospital Baton Rouge
Woman's was one of the first women's specialty hospitals in the nation, and is currently one of the largest in the United States. Opened in November 1968, Woman's is a private, nonprofit organization that is consistently recognized for its care of women and infants.
LSU Surgery residents participate in the surgical care for NICU patients at Woman's Hospital while on their Pediatric Surgery rotation.
