OLOLRMC is an integral part of the surgical education for LSU residents. LSU Surgery residents rotate through General Surgery, Robotic/Minimally Invasive Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Trauma Surgery and Pediatric Surgery at OLOLRMC.

Woman's Hospital Baton Rouge

Woman’s was one of the first women’s specialty hospitals in the nation, and is currently one of the largest in the United States. Opened in November 1968, Woman’s is a private, nonprofit organization that is consistently recognized for its care of women and infants.

Woman’s performs more than 7,900 surgeries and 42,000 breast procedures, and reads more than 56,000 Pap screens. It is the largest delivery service in Louisiana and was the first area hospital to achieve Nursing Magnet® status. For the past eleven years, Woman’s has been named one of Modern Healthcare Magazine’s Top Places to Work in Healthcare.
