How to Apply
Applicants to the LSUHSC Family Medicine Kenner Residency Program must complete an
application from via the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) website.
Your ERAS application must be completed and submitted to ERAS by November 1st of the year prior to your internship for consideration by LSUHSC Family Medicine.
NRMP Match Application Criteria
To participate in the Main Residency Match and SOAP, an applicant must be able to
enter graduate medical education (GME) on July 1 in the year of the Match and must
meet all requirements for entry into GME as prescribed by the Accreditation Council
for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Applicant Interview Criteria
To be considered for an interview with our program, applicants must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
- Have successfully passed all USMLE Step tests. Candidate's certified "USMLE Official Transcripts of Scores" must be on file in ERAS
- Hold an ECFMG certificate by July 1, if applicable
- Have graduated from medical school in the past 2 years
- Have completed a minimum of 6 months of clinical rotations as a medical student in the U.S. during the previous 2 years, with 2 of the months being in Family Medicine
