Bio

A former Olympian, Dr. Gamborg completed his Family Medicine residency at Regina General Hospital. Prior to joining Memorial/LSUHSC FMRP, he had a private Family Medicine practice in Sulphur, LA. He has over 25 years experience in caring for patients in both outpatient and hospital settings. The 6-foot, 4-inch Gamborg joined the Canadian Men’s Olympic Volleyball Team in 1977. The team was training, traveling and getting ready to qualify for the 1980 Moscow Olympics, but as history tells us, the U.S. and Canada decided to boycott the Moscow games. He left the team in 1979 and went to medical school.
