Emergency Medicine Residency Program in Baton Rouge

LSUHSC | BATON ROUGE
EMERGENCY MEDICINE

OUR
MISSION

to TRAIN and MENTOR

the next generation of highly competent and humanistic emergency physicians focused on serving the clinical needs of the community

FROM OUR CHIEFS 2027 EM chiefs at LSU

Hey y’all! We are so glad you found our program. We think this place is a hidden gem amongst ER residencies nationwide. Each one of us chose this training due to the combination of high acuity, high volume, and exposure to complex medical and trauma resuscitations. We also own all of our procedures from day 1. We have the support of all specialities without having a ton of other residencies with which we split procedures. This is pretty rare to find at a tertiary care stroke/trauma/heart hospital.

However, what makes this program especially unique, is the tight-knit family we form. You will frequently find us out to brunch after night shifts, hanging out at a co-resident’s pool on one of our bi-monthly golden weekends, or enjoying a crawfish boil at our attending’s house. This program prioritizes our professional as well as personal time - and that is priceless. Residency is really hard, but the people in this program make it all worth it.

If all of this sounds right up your alley, then please apply! We are always looking for hard-working individuals with the right fit. Do not hesitate to reach out to any of us if you have any questions! Good luck with the madness of this doctor journey we are all on!

Geaux Tigers!!
