HSA Liaison Sign Up
The House Staff Association advocates on behalf of residents and fellows on institutional
matters and works to help create a sense of community amongst the different specialties.
We meet every other month to discuss initiatives, plan social opportunities, and identify
institutional challenges house staff experience in training.
We are hoping to have at least 1 liaison from each specialty attend HSA meetings to
facilitate communication amongst LSU's different specialties. Liaisons will be able
to share updates from HSA that impact their program, inform HSA about institutional
challenges that residents and fellows in their program experience, and contribute
to meeting dialogue on agenda items. While this position is open to anyone, this is
a great leadership opportunity for more junior residents. Programs can have multiple
liaisons if multiple people are interested.
The only requirement is that liaisons attend 3 out of our 6 meetings for the 2023-24
academic year. Meetings are by zoom and are typically 30min in duration or less, no
longer than 60min. Meetings are generally the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 5:30 PM.
