VASCULAR SURGERY - ACADEMIC CONFERENCES

 

CASE CONFERENCE

Vascular Surgery weekly conference. Held at the LSUHSC Human Development Center every Monday at 7:00 AM. Residents and Fellows present interesting cases and pre-operative planning for discussion. The conference is led by residents and all New Orleans based faculty, including Dr. Hollier, are invited to attend.

RUTHERFORD CONFERENCE

Vascular Surgery weekly didactic conference, oriented around the latest Rutherford's Vascular Surgery edition. Typically 1-2 chapters are assigned for the week. The conference is held every Wednesday in Baton Rouge. Residents rotating in New Orleans will video chat into the session. The conference is led by Dr. London Guidry. Typically includes discussion of critical concepts, and practice questions for VESAP preparation. The conference is aimed to complete Rutherford's every 2 years.

ULTRASOUND CONFERENCE

Monthly educational conference dedicated for vascular ultrasound interpretation. The conference is typically help at West Jefferson Hospital and attended by New Orleans based residents. Discussion if led by Dr. Tapash Palit and chapters from Pellerito's Vascular Ultrasound are assigned. These sessions are focused on preparation for RPVI exam, which is required for Vascular Surgery board certification.
