Why LSU EM/IM: Historied program with excellent exposure to trauma and medically complex ED patients coupled with a robust Internal Medicine experience. I particularly appreciate the commitment to serving the community here, which was something that I did not experience elsewhere. 



Michael Phillips, MD

Hobbies: Baking, theatre and costuming, biking, video games, board games, exploring the city

Why LSU EM/IM: Simple: the people. When I interviewed, it was obvious that the people here are wonderful, and now that I am a resident, I find that is more true every day. I feel supported by everyone in the program from the directors to the chief residents to my fellow interns. Plus, getting to live in the city of New Orleans is pretty cool too.
