Kent Humble, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine in the Family Practice Residency Program at University Hospital and Clinics.
A native of south Louisiana, Dr. Humble received his medical degree and Family Practice training from LSU School of Medicine-Shreveport. He helped develop the Family Practice Residency Program in Alexandria, La., then spent several years in private practice in Lafayette before joining the UMC faculty.
Dr. Humble has special interests in gastroenterology, gynecology, and skin surgery. He instructs residents in colonoscopy, EGD, colposcopy, and is the director of minor surgery and the procedure rotation for Family Medicine. He is also medical director of The Compass Recovery Center, an acute inpatient detoxification unit housed at UHC.
Dr. Humble is a musician and enjoys golf, and south Louisiana fishing.
