IMPACT ON LOUISIANA

As an affiliate of the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, we have an additional mission beyond that of medical education and service; a mission of producing highly skilled physicians that remain in-state beyond residency and provide excellent health care to the citizens of Louisiana.  Since 1993, 80% of physicians completing their Internal Medicine training at the LSUHSC in Baton Rouge currently practice in Louisiana. 

We are proud of our former graduates, as many have distinguished themselves by the level of care they provide and by the leadership roles they have assumed, either on a local or statewide level.
